Everyone loves to listen to stories. There is hardly anyone among us who has not heard a story during our childhood. Stories keeps children engaged and let them feel that they are also participating in the process of story telling. Language learning, any learning for that matter, happens when children are engaged in meaning making activities. If story telling is made into an interesting experience and fun filled activity where listeners also participate in telling, guessing, manipulating, it could be a joyous learning experience. IB PYP Kindergarten organized a story telling activity for kids. Kids enjoyed the story "Pepper wants to many toys" They reflected by replying different questions asked by the teacher related to the same story. It was a fun and knowledgeable activity.
To impart the essence of #companionship and the cheery demeanour amongst the students, the festival of #Lohri๐ฅ was celebrated in #CIFSJAL. The munching of Rewris and popcorn around the bonfire seemed to give the message, ‘Before the reward there must be labor.’ The chanting of Mool mantra, the Lohri song ‘#SunderMundriye’ and the students and teachers #dancing to the beats of a dhol filled the whole atmosphere with a #divine aura. The laughter and concord on every face, lit the hearts with #warmth and #harmony.
